Terms of service
Governed by Austrian law. Provided by Sovaro GmbH, Vienna, Austria. [PLACEHOLDER: draft, to be reviewed by counsel before publishing]
Draft, last updated 20 October 2026
1. Service description
PreVDR reduces the file size of business documents through lossless compression, verified against the original before delivery. The free tool runs in the customer’s browser and uploads nothing. The platform processes files on our own service in the EU and deletes them after download.
2. Eligibility
The service is provided exclusively to business entities acting in a professional capacity. Consumer use is not permitted.
3. Access
Access to the platform is granted on request via business email, subject to acceptance of these terms and the applicable data processing agreement.
4. Intellectual property
All rights to customer files and the resulting compressed output remain with the customer. Sovaro GmbH is granted only a limited, non-transferable right to process the files for the purpose of providing the service.
5. Customer obligations
Customers may not submit unlawful content, attempt unauthorised access to our systems, use the service to build a competing product, or generate unreasonable processing load.
6. Data protection
Where personal data is processed on a customer’s behalf, Sovaro GmbH acts as a processor under Art. 28 GDPR, and a data processing agreement is incorporated into the service agreement.
7. Fees and payment
Fees, billing cycle and payment terms are set out in the applicable order form or plan.
8. Service availability
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Planned maintenance is communicated where practical.
9. Confidentiality
Both parties keep the other’s confidential information private, consistent with the commitments described on our security page.
10. Liability
Sovaro GmbH’s liability is capped at the fees paid in the preceding 12 months, subject to a maximum of EUR 5,000, and excludes indirect damages, lost profits and data loss not caused by gross negligence.
11. Indemnification
Each party indemnifies the other against third-party claims arising from its own breach of these terms.
12. Termination
Ongoing contracts may be terminated with one month’s notice. Free access may be terminated without notice.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by Austrian law.
15. Jurisdiction
Disputes arising from these terms are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Vienna, Austria.
